June 2016 event postponed

The upcoming I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here event planned to run from the 6th to 17th June 2016 has been postponed. This follows an announcement from the Ministry of Education asking all voluntary school activities to re-apply for permission to run. More information and updates to follow.

Health Zone Report — September–October 2014

Our first zone in Africa was a great success. 10 schools were invited to participate. All 10 took part. 136 student accounts were used, representing over 300 students as most were shared. 487 questions were asked. 298 votes were cast. Are you ready for I’m a Scientist?

The very first I’m a Scientist Kenya event kicks off next week with the Health Zone. Students will start logging in soon to ask their first questions, and the scientists are putting finishing touches to their profile pages. From 22nd September to 3rd October, five scientists will be answering students’ questions and taking part in live chats, while they compete for the prize of 50,000 KSh to spend on their own project in schools.
